A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, Prince Folasayo Isaac Adegboye, has described the acting chairman of the PDP in the state, Hon. Sunday Bisi, as the best candidate for the party chairman, AMILOADED reports
Q: What did you have to say about yourself?
I am Prince Folasayo Isaac Adegboye, hail from Ejigbo local government area of osun state, a Sunday Bisi remains Best Candidate For PDP state chairman – Prince Folasayo Isaac Adegboye representatives of industrial plumbing material and active politician for the past 30years.
Q: What did you have to say about your political experience for the past 30years?
Whatever venture one get in he became stakeholder in such arena, in join active politics during era of National Redemption Congress (NRC) and Social Democratic Party (SDP), I was member of SDP then and take active role as youths to mobilize for the emergence of SDP as a party in the election then. Immediately after the 1993 election, I took a break in politics due to military junta that erupt, I join Alliance Democracy (AD) in 1999 which later met morphed into Alliance Congress (AC) and All Progressive Congress (APC) and left the party in 2017 to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Since then I remain a committed, loyal and Financial member of the party in my local government and state till date.
Q. Have Contested on any platform of political party?
No, I did not join politics to contest election, I join purposely to give credence to emergence of able leaders in our systems, though I have represent the party as the national delegate from ejigbo local government at National convention in 2021 and Presidential Primary Election in 2022.
Q. You have made assertions on the former state PRO and acting chairman of your party, Hon. Sunday Bisi as best candidate in the scheduling state congress, what is your reason?
‘I am convinced and still want to reassure you that there is no controversy about the electability of Hon. Sunday Bisi, he will emerge as State chairman by the Grace of God and my reasons are simple, let me summarize them.
He has a pedigree that cannot be overlooked, he served as State PRO and party chairman meritoriously and he did so well that his template gives the victory we enjoy in the party today.
He also did excellently well in party assignment and as the PDP gubernatorial campaign DG
Hon. Sunday Bisi has performed creditably well in all the offices he had occupied at different times and his benevolence to the people had no boundary. Whether you are politically related to him or not ,doesn’t affect his relationship with you when it comes to offering assistance. He is a good-natured politician’ he said while responding to a question on Sunday Bisi s chances..
Hon Sunday Bisi emergence as State chairman will helped to strengthen unity in the state chapter of the PDP.
Q: How acceptable is Hon. Sunday Bisi to the party leaders and members?
‘Let me say this, it is on record that Hon. Sunday Bisi reign as PDP state chairman brought almost all those who had felt aggrieved for one reason, or another returned to the party and they are committedly working towards the election victory of governor Adeleke and other PDP candidates , they had noted that his status as a chairman has made them have a strong hope that they will have it good’ he said.
Q: There have been rumours of his been factional, what is your view on this?
Those who are paddling such rumours around were being chase by their own shadow. They are raising such an allegation only to score cheap political sympathy. they were the one whose motive were to create division among PDP members
Q: How commited is Hon. Sunday Bisi committed to party, taking cognizance of his acceptability among the leaders?
Hon Sunday Bisi as a true party man. ‘His tremendous efforts in building and making the Party (PDP) the choice of most electorate in Osun state is not in doubt, like I said above, his tenure as PDP state chairman few months has boosted the image of the party in State
Q: How would you end this interview?
By encouraging osun residents in general and ejigbo in particular to imbibe lesson of Ramadan and easter festive. Also, have hope that their will cannot be subvert this time around.. The time has come for Osun to shine and raise as a state that will aim to be globally competitive. We will be like other state that are developed. We are tired of being perpetually developing without becoming developed. We are tired of being perpetually called potentially great state without becoming great. Also, a state that works for all, where we are at peace with each other, where there is no discrimination either by age, race, sex or other divisions is assured under the watched of His excellency Ademola Adeleke
