The great town of Erinmo Ijesa was agog over the weekend as double history was made when the Elerinmo of Erinmo,Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya the second, installed an amazon and housing guru, Dr Becky Olubukola as the Erelu Atunluse of the ancient town .
The programme also added economic value to Erinmo land as the Speaker Osun State house of Assembly, Hon.Timothy Owoeye joined Oba Ajayi to commission a model market by the newly installed Erelu Atunluse.
Speaking on the occasion the Elerinmo of Erinmo explained that the choice of Dr Becky Olubukola as the Erelu Atunluse was not a mistake but born out of her contribution to economic development in the country at large.
According to him,the love Erelu Olubukola has for Erinmo could not be measured hence his conviction that she would use her personality to draw development to Erinmo Ijesa.
He also noted that the newly built model market in Erinmo is an attestation to the fact that indigenes of the ancient town are productive.
Responding the Erelu Atunluse of Erinmo land Dr.Becky Olubukola described Erinmo as a promising land,flowing with milk and honey,which needed to be developed.
Erelu Olubukola described her installation as a responsibility to further develop Erinmo.
According to her”we have achieved a new milestone,and this is a day a new responsibility and leadership role is shouldered upon us”.
She noted that more amazing things are in store for Erinmo land.
While commissioning the model market, Speaker Osun State House of Assembly, Hon.Timothy Owoeye lauded the Elerinmo of Erinmo for always been at the verge of developing his town.
He congratulated the people of Erinmo for the luck of having a quintessential, focused and progressive king.
Extending governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s commendation to the monarch on various activities geared towards improving the economy of his community and by extension the state,Hon.Owoeye
noted that if all monarchs act like Oba Odunayo Ajayi, the state would be a better place to live.
In his own contributions, the Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning in Osun State,Hon.Nathaniel Agunbiade eulogised Oba Odunayo Ajayi for always having the love of his people at heart and for bringing more developmental projects to Erinmo during his reign.
He prayed that God will grant him good health to stay long on the throne of his forefathers.
The newly installed Erelu Atunluse of Erinmo Ijesa Engr. (Dr.) Olubukola Becky Esther is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BSTAN GROUP.
In this role, Dr. Becky oversees Bstan Construction Limited, Bstan Mortgage and Cooperatives, Bstan Securities, Bstan Agro, Bstan Cleaning Services and Bstan Homes and Properties, which, combined have employed approximately well over 200 staff and offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Ekiti and Ghana.
She leads a reputable Real Estate firm, which has completed more than 15,000 housing units in Lagos, Abuja and
Port Harcourt.
Dr. Becky graduated as a Civil Engineer from prestigious University of Benin with an MBA in Estate Management and Construction and recently bags a PhD in Civil Engineering and Housing and Estate Management.
She has been a major advocate for the MDG goal for Housing deficit in Africa with her focus on Nigeria.
This has earned her sit at the table to a member of the Presidential Committee on Housing Sector and Construction.
With numerous awards recognisng her longtime support of the real estate industry and service to humanity .
