Looting: Governor Oyetola Meets Bisi Akande, Other Osun Elders, Clears Air On Report Of Hoarding Covid-19 Palliatives (Photos)

Following recent looting of private and government properties by suspected hoodlums and looters, the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola on Friday’s morning met with a former governor of the state, Bisi Akande and other Osun elders at the governor’s office at Abere in Oshogbo.

This was revealed to AMILOADED in a statement by Governor Oyetola on his official Facebook page on Friday.

The Governor disclosed that the state government didn’t hoard the COVID-19 palliatives, adding that they were only waiting for CACOVID office in Abuja to donate the rice component and officially flag off the distribution.

According to his statement, “This morning, I received some Osun elders, who were led by former governor and our father, Chief Bisi Akande, on a solidarity visit over the recent sad incidents in the State including the attempt on my life and the wanton looting and destruction of property across the State by hoodlums and miscreants.

“I appreciated our elders for their visit and also seized the opportunity to make clarification on the palliatives donated to the State by CACOVID. I told them that the State Government didn’t hoard the items; we were only waiting for CACOVID office in Abuja to donate the rice component and officially flag off the distribution.”
