New Year: Omisore Pays Off Bills Of Patients Detained In Hospital (See Photos)

Some of the patients who had been treated at the Obafemi- Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex and discharged but remained there because of inability to pay their medical bill got succour at the weekend as a top Osun politician, Sen. Iyiola Omisore paid their bills.

​In his usual way of reaching out to the less privileged in the society for over 15 years now, Sen iyiola Omisore reaches out to those who are receiving one form of treatment at the hospital today where he moved round the wards one by one to assist them with those on sick beds and wish them quick recovery.

He moved round the entire hospital complex in company of the chief medical director and a host of other management staffs of the hospital complex.

Amiloaded gathered that some of the patients had spent several months loitering the hospital premises after being detained by hospital authorities over their inability to pay their bills.

In his entourage today was the deputy governorship candidate of SDP party in the just concluded Osun State governorship election, Alhaji Yemi Lawal, the former minister of police affairs, Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan (Jallo), Alhaji Yekeen Omisore, and a host of other friends and well wishers.

In his usual annual style, he paid for the treatment of those struggling to meet up with their medical bills demands and equally paid for all the patients who have been discharged but have not been able to pay up.

The patients showered Sen. Omisore with prayers as they lamented that their stay in the hospital premises after being discharged was traumatic and pathetic but they were helpless.

As an elder statesman and a man who has the interest of the downtrodden at heart, he moved to an orphanage home located at Ipetumodu Ife north local government where he donated food items, toiletteries and lots more to assist the orphans.
