Tributes Pour In As Pa Omotosho Isamotu Is Laid To Rest In Iwo

Former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun, Pa (Hon.) Samuel Omotosho Isamotu, has been laid to rest.

The commemoration service, which was well attended by family, friends, and people from all walks of life, was held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Precious Baptist Church, Iwo, while the burial proceedings and interment took place at his residence.

According to the family, Pa Isamotu died on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 84, and is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Part of the leadership roles held by Pa Isamotu during his lifetime include Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Iwo Local Government and State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Osun NUT.

Speaking with AMILOADED, one of the deceased’s children, Afolabi Isamotu, who delivered the vote of thanks, described his father as a big timber in the forest and a stakeholder who contributed to the growth and development of the Iwo community during his lifetime.

He added that Pa Omotosho lived a good life that has opened doors for their family in every sphere of life and is worth emulating, as he left a big legacy that he cherished so much, and he will continue his good work.

In his own tribute, the Pastor of Precious Baptist Church, Iwo, Rev. (Dr.) Samson Oluwole Oluwoye, described Pa Isamotu as a child of God to the core, who was committed to the service of God in everything.

Also speaking, a high prince from Iwo, Dr. Lekan Lamuye, said Pa Isamotu was a good teacher and a great man, while his involvement in the development of Iwo cannot be underestimated.

The attendees and Pa Isamotu’s family affirmed that the deceased lived a good life, and his legacy will remain evergreen on the sands of time, as they will greatly miss him.
