The Development of Nigeria Depends on All Nigerians – Tunde Badmus

Business Icon and the Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Khamis Olatunde-Badmus has advised political office holders in Nigeria to stop promoting tension in the country through their conduct, speeches and politics.

Asiwaju Olatunde-Badmus gave the admonition in his congratulatory message to Muslims in Nigeria in commemoration of the celebration of Eid -Ul-Fitr held after the Ramadan fasting.

In a message issued and released in Osogbo , the Ọṣun State Capital ,the Muslim leader remarked that in the spirit of the Ramadan fast which preaches peace , perseverance, good conduct, generosity,decorum and fairness, the Nigerian political class should avoid playing bitter politics above the national interest and welfare of those who elected them

According to him , since the advent of the fourth Republic, political sentiments, bitterness, and negative perception by many politicians have threatened the peace and tranquillity of the country.

He said, “If someone has been elected effectively into office, those politicians who were not elected should not form the habit of destroying those elected at all cost “

The Asiwaju Musulumi express the view that for Nigeria to develop, all Nigerians, irrespective of political leaning, must be patriotic and sincere to work together in the interest of the peace and progress of Nigeria

Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus congratulated all Muslims in Nigeria and asked them not to abandon the virtues of kindness, fairness, incorruptible character, faithfulness to God and respect for fellow human beings they embraced during the Ramadan fasting period.
