The Senior Special Assistant to Osun State Governor on Civil Society Organizations, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel Oluwaseun, has visited Alayemo of Ido-Osun Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Adedapo Aderemi Adeen, and the Alawo of Awo Kingdom on the monarchical institutionalism and the governing council flaws in the state, AMILOADED reports.
The traditional rulers said majority of monarchs in the state were not totally happy because of how the All Progress Congress (APC)-led government came to intrude into the council of traditional leadership African’s kingship.
Adeen said the monarchical institution should be well managing, re-strengthening, remodified and reformed by bringing back a positive reformation of the former good days of the former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, for effective collaboration, well-cultured of acclamation as far as monarchical institution is concerns in the state.
He also itemized some clauses, saying democracy should be accommodating by the politicians by allowing the rule of law to coexist in the government affairs “because no institution or organization ever succeeded anywhere in the world in the absent of a rule of law”.
Highlighting major problems among the council of traditional leaders of Africa in the state, Adeen urged Gover Adeleke to take avenue and makes some corrections by bringing resolution and normalcy just as it were in 2003 during the administration of Oyinlola.
He stated that the government should value the throne of the royal fathers’ in the council of traditional Leaders of Africa in the state by attending to their needs at all time giving them a listenable ears for good advice “not even solely subject to money matter because money is the least to the state of Africans virtuous (Omoluabi) so as to develop the state collectively, economically and politically.”
On his part, the Alawo of Awo urged the Osun State Government to take a cognizant measures to review and overview everything been highlighted so far in the Council of Traditional Leaders of Africa (COTLA) in the state.
Adebisi however appreciated the traditional rulers for their support to the state government and the council of traditional leaders.
The SSA promised to serve both the government and the indigenous communities in the state, saying he is the intermediary between the state government and the African traditional leadership and also the voice of the voiceless for the masses.
Adebisi promised the monarchs that the he will report to Governor Adeleke all the issues discussed at the meeting and vowed to bring them a positive tangible report in a short-while.
