The member representing Ayediire-Iwo-Ola Oluwa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Mudashiru Lukman (L&K) has fulfilled one of his electoral promises by laying the foundation of a six-classroom block at Nawar-ud-deen Primary School. The event, which took place in Ileogbo, was attended by leaders and members of the community who expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker for fulfilling their requests.

L&K, who was represented at the event by Hon. Adesoye Oyetunde, Osun West PDP Senatorial Leader said his administration places premium on education which is the bedrock of any societal development.

While speaking, Hon. Adesoye thanked the lawmaker for living up to his promises for the constituency, he said:

“I want to thank Hon. L&K, he is somebody close to me. He is just one man with passion. Give L&K a job, he will carry it out with the best of his ability; that I know of him. He is a man with determination. So, I am not surprised rather, I am happy that he has lived his dream and reputation by starting this school.”

During his speech, Hon. L&K stated that he had earlier received request from the people of the community during his campaign to help rescue the state of the school which has become an habitat for the wild animals due to its deplorable state.

He stated that the building would be furnished with furniture, white marker boards, and all other equipment needed to make it comfortable and appropriate for learning for the children.

He promised that the project would be completed in two months so that the students could use the classroom for the next academic calendar.

“During my electioneering campaign, I met with the staff of Nawarudeen Primary school and they lamented the poor condition of the school, I personally visited the school and noticed that the condition of the classrooms weren’t encouraging because pupils learn in dilapidated classrooms, yet, the head teacher and staff continued to teach out of humanity because they needed to carry out their basic duties.

“I believe that education is the foundation for all-round development, and the fabric of our society can only reflect growth based on the attention we give to the academic sector.

“It cannot be over-emphasized how the people play a key role in the progress of our great constituency , as I sincerely want to use this medium to appreciate the good people of Ayedire Local Government and all our supporters for their backing and partnership so far.

“Rome was not built in a day, therefore, we all must continue to work together to help our promising constituency and make it an envy of all other constituencies”. He appealed.

Others present at the event were the PDP Chairman in Ayedire local government, Hon. Wasiu Akinwon, the Senior Legislative Aide to the lawmaker, Hon. Ibrahim Akala among others.
