The Bwatiye people of Adamawa state who reside in Numan, Demsa, Girei, Fufore and Lamurde local government areas of the state and some parts of the Cameroon Republic, have unveiled a New Testament Bible translated into their language.
During the public presentation of the Bwatiye New Testament Bible in Numan on Saturday, June 15, it was stated that the project was undertaken to reach more Bwatiye people with the word of God so that they can identify personally with it.
Chief Presenter of the Bible, Chief Maurice Yunobolki, expressed the hope that the Bible would further unite the Bwatiye people to do great things for themselves and for God.
Bishop Bulus Taiya also shared an insight on their experience during the translation project. He said the project began in 2011 and survived a number of challenges to see the light of day.
