Osun Monarch Shares Emotional Story

The Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba (Dr) Adedokun Abolarin, has shared an emotional story of how he offered a scholarship to a girl named Bolu.

The monarch, while sharing the story on his official Facebook page on Thursday, celebrated Bolu’s accomplishments and honored her mother’s unyielding spirit.

In his post titled, “Unlocking Potential: Bolu’s Journey to Success”, Oba Abolarin said Bolu stepped into Abolarin College, Oke-Ila Orangun, with hope in her eyes and today, she has excelled in her academic pursuit.

He wrote; “In Ila Orangun, a single mother’s unwavering determination shone bright despite her handicap. Her quest for a better life for her only child, Bolu, touched my heart, compelling me to act.

“I was worried about Bolu’s future, but now I see hope,” Bolu’s mother says, her voice filled with gratitude. “The support we received has transformed our lives forever.”

“Years ago, Bolu stepped into Abolarin College, Oke-Ila Orangun, with hope in her eyes. Today, she excels in her professional accounting course, thanks to a dedicated mentor.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams,” Bolu shares. “My mother’s struggles inspired me to work harder. I want to make her proud and create a better life for us.”

  • Completed secondary education with distinction
  • Excelled in professional accounting course
  • Admitted to Federal University of Oye, studying Accounting

“This remarkable journey showcases community support and girls’ education advocacy. Bolu’s triumph proves the potential within every indigent child.
