OSHA Election: INEC Fixes Date For Presentation Of Certificate Of Return In Osun

The Independent National Electoral Commission in Osun State has fixed Thursday, 30th of March, 2023 to present Certificates of Return to State House of Assembly Members-elect, AMILOADED reports.

This was contained in a release signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun, Dr Mutiu Agboke and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Osogbo, Osun State Capital.

The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in compliance with Section 72 (1) of the Electoral Act 2022, is mandated to issue a certificate of return within fourteen (14) days to every candidate who has been returned elected under the law.

“Consequent on the above provision, the Commission in Osun State has fixed
Thursday 30th March, 2023 by 12noon for the issuance of certificates of return to all state assembly members-elect.
The presentation will take place at the Media Centre, INEC Osun State Office,
Osogbo.”

People’s Democratic Party won 25 of the seats in the Assembly while the All Progressives Congress clinched one in the March 18 elections.
