Olalekan Badmus Holds Medical Outreach In Osun, Charges Beneficiaries On 2023 Elections

The immediate past Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties in Osun State, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, has held a medical outreach in Isale Osun area of Osogbo through his Omo Oloore Foundation, AMILOADED reports.

Addressing the people at the event, Badmus, a member of the All Progressives Congress(APC), described the event as part of efforts to give back to the society and support the government in providing quality healthcare to the citizens.

He said, “The Omo Oloore Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization, has put this programme in place for the good people of Osogbo as an indication of the foundation’s solidarity with the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Health Talk and Counseling; Free Medical Consultation; and Drugs Free Eye Care and Glasses; Free Medical Screening Such as: Blood Pressure Monitoring, Eye Test, Blood Sugar Levels, and General Body Check-up were part of the areas the organization intervened.

“In the time past, the NGO has reached out to communities on different fronts viz a viz: medical outreach, palliatives distribution during the pandemic, visitation to persons in distress, scholarship programmes for students of secondary and tertiary institutions, provision of social amenities such as portable water, road accessibility and among numerous other efforts.

“However, this year, our focus was on the survival of people across different communities and so we have resolved to carry out a medical outreach to bring health awareness to the people of the Osogbo, to be held in Isale Osun in order to provide medical diagnoses as well as drugs to the people.”

The former commissioner, however, lauded the efforts of the medical team who were on ground throughout the programme, stressing that they did their job dispassionately.
