OHIS Donates Multi-million Naira Equipment To State Specialist Hospital

The Osun State Health Insurance Agency has donated a state-of-the-art medical 4D ultrasound machine to the State Specialist Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo.

The handover of the multi-million naira equipment was done on Friday at the hospital.

Speaking at the event, Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, said the donation reflects the administration’s commitment to transforming the health sector and improving the lives of Osun people.

He commended the leadership of OHIS Chairman, Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji, and the Executive Secretary, Dr. Rasaq Akindele, for their innovative efforts in ensuring quality and timely healthcare delivery across the state.

The governor described OHIS as a beacon of hope, noting that the equipment would improve diagnosis accuracy and elevate healthcare services in Osun.

In his remarks, Dr. Rasaq Akindele said the Adeleke-led administration is committed to the wellbeing of all residents, urging the hospital management to make judicious use of the machine.

He confirmed that while the machine could generate funds, OHIS is not seeking profit but focused on ensuring that the people of Osun fully benefit from the facility.

In her goodwill message, the Chief Consultant of the hospital, Dr. Folashade Dare, thanked the governor for the donation, describing the equipment as a blessing.

She assured that it would be put to the best use to expand services, generate revenue, and solve pressing medical needs.
