Popular media personality and content creator Kolu has appealed to fellow entertainer Carter Efe for a ₦7 million loan to help secure the release of controversial singer Portable from prison.
Kolu made the plea on Thursday during a livestream with Carter Efe on Twitch, where he explained his concern for the singer’s welfare.
When asked why he was deeply involved in Portable’s matter, Kolu disclosed that the singer played a major role in his rise to fame, saying Portable brought him to Lagos and gave him the exposure that changed his life.
Speaking in Pidgin English, Kolu said, “Portable brought me to Lagos, I come blow. Na him help my life.”
Recall that Portable was remanded in prison on Tuesday by the Federal High Court sitting in Ota, Ogun State, over allegations of car theft and assault reportedly involving his baby mama, Ashabi Simple.
The singer was also said to have been handcuffed and allegedly beaten while in police custody.
