Muhammed Shokeye, popularly known as Showkey, has debunked the reports that he is of Ogun State origin, AMILOADED reports.
Shokeye also said Kehinde Raji is not a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.
Shokeye said this on Saturday in reaction to a statement circulated on social media, purportedly signed by the “Osun State Coordinator” of the Imoleans group.
The statement called Shokeye an “American Returnee” and “the Uber Driver”, while also claiming that he is of Ogun State origin.
Reacting, Shokeye said, “We feel a lot of sympathy for the young men and women who have allowed themselves to be so used for purposes such as these, by a known rabble-rouser and chronic liar, Kehinde Raji (Aaraj). The young men and women, believing that they joined a group they will benefit from, have unknowingly allowed their collective identity to be used for Aaraj’s well-known political ‘marimaje’.
“For the records, Hon. Muhammed Shokeye (Showkey) is a successful businessman in the United States of America, with several reputable businesses that are registered with the government of America. His business interests cut across the Entertainment, Private Security and Retail sectors and it was in fact, the wealth of experience that he has gathered across the globe that encouraged him to join politics at home, so he could bring his global exposure to bear in service to people and community.
“Kehinde Raji however, is a sociopathic liar, who lies so badly that it has become a habit. The same Kehinde Raji about a week ago, went on a live radio interview to claim that the Adeleke family paid some money, through him, to the former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salam. Less than two hours after he clearly made this claim, he turned around to issue a watery statement wherein he claimed that he was referring to a nonexistent guy in Osogbo that he nicknamed ‘Speaker’. Such an unthinking liar should not be taken serious.
“The same unrepentant liar, went public with a claim some days ago, that the Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Tesleem Igbalaye, had no powers of the Office he is holding. Less than 24 hours after his thoughtless public claims, the SSG publicly denounced them and informed the public that he enjoys all of his official rights and privileges.
“It was some of the many untrue claims Aaraj made in the past that Showkey clarified while speaking on Western Spring Television’s personality interview programme, ‘Iselu’. Hon. Muhammed Shokeye, as a major political stakeholder in Osogbo, could not sit by and allow Kehinde appropriate the glory of PDP’s success in Osogbo to himself.
“We repeat, for the records, that Kehinde Raji is not a Member of the PDP and if he chooses to join the party today, Hon. Muhammed Shokeye will be one of his political leaders. Whatever reason(s) for which he claims to have supported the PDP in the last election should not blind him to the fact that Showkey’s status in the politics of Osogbo towers above his.
“We advise Aaraj to stop his self deceit and fix his life. His reputation as a pathological liar is not one that his children should grow up and find out.
While reputable men like Shokey are busy building a fortune, he should stop his borrow-borrow, lie-lie lifestyle and make something decent of himself.”
