A Nigerian man, John Paul Ugwu, has sparked a heated debate with his recent statement, claiming that men who share a room with their wives are “confused married men.”

He argued that in the past, their fathers had separate huts for themselves, implying that men need their own space to maintain their masculinity.

According to the man, monogamy makes it difficult for men to keep secrets, leading to vulnerability and weakness in their relationships with their wives.

He wrote: “If you share the same room with your wife, you are a confused married man. Our father’s had a hut which meant for them alone. Monogamy makes it so difficult for men to keep a secret and the inability to keep masculine secrecy makes men more vulnerable, porous and weakling to their wives.”
