A corps member identified as Mustapha Ibrahim Zango has lamented that he did not experience anything good in the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, than suffering.
He shared this revelation in a Facebook group on Thursday, the message was written in Hausa.
The post which has gone viral attracted comments from hundreds of people sharing their own experience as well.
Zango stated that those he used to help are now helping him as things are really hard.
According to him: “Ban mori komai cikin NYSC ba sai wahala.Nadawo kamar mabaraci, Yarana danayi zaman taemakawa yanzu suke taemaka min.Ban taba wahala kamar NYSC ba arayuwata.
“Translation:”I didn’t experience anything in NYSC but suffering. I’m back like a thief, my children I used to help are now helping me. I have never been as hard as NYSC in my life.”
It was a hard time for corps members across the country as Federal Government is yet to implement the N77,000 minimum wage award since it approval.
According to report, many corps members has took a dangerous route of applying for loan from online bank to survive.
Recently, the National Youth Service Corps assured the Patriots that once FG disburse the funds, corps members will be paid.
Findings by World Job Info Hub revealed that their are no plans in place to implement the new minimum wage for corps members this year.
