Gov Adeleke’s Second Year in Office: TESCOM Chair Highlights Progress In Osun

As Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke marks his second anniversary as the Executive Governor of Osun State, the Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Comrade Temitope Mustapha Adeyemi, has highlighted significant advancements in the state’s education sector.

Reflecting on the achievements of the past two years, Comrade Adeyemi stated that Governor Adeleke has revitalized Osun education system, thereby reversing its previous decline.

He emphasized that the Governor’s impact is evident across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions in the state.

Comrade Adeyemi noted that the improved performance of secondary school students in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) exams stands as a testament to the Governor’s transformative initiatives.

The TESCOM Chairman further explained that the commission has organized numerous seminars, workshops, and training sessions for teachers at all levels across the state.

He Added that teachers who had faced stagnation in their career for over 12 years were finally promoted, and new principals were appointed to schools as needed.

Comrade Adeyemi also highlighted the comprehensive transformation of secondary education under Governor Adeleke administration, ensuring enhanced learning outcomes and operational efficiency.

He described the past two years of Governor Adeleke’s leadership as impactful and transformative, with notable achievements across various sectors. While commending the Governor’s unwavering commitment to elevating Osun educational standards and ensuring infrastructural progress.

Highlighting the Governor’s accomplishments, Comrade Adeyemi noted that the administration’s 24 months in office have been marked by peace, unity, security, and impressive infrastructure projects, stressing that the achievements has given the State both local, national and international recognition.

He further acknowledged the Governor’s dedication to the welfare of state workers, citing regular salary payments, wage increments, release of bonds to pensioners, timely promotions, and the recent approval of a ₦75,554 minimum wage for all workers as key achievements of the administration.

He extended his best wishes to Governor Adeleke for continued success and progress, expressing confidence that his leadership will bring further growth and development to Osun State in the years ahead.

Although,Tescom is playing the good role of it’s constitutional function but lack the political will in making sure that retired school principal do not take part in service extension granted to Teachers bearing in mind that the sitting principal will have little or no power controlling them on any things done by them
