A Nigerian man has shared his story after revealing he was deported from the United States following nearly a year in immigration detention.
He posted a video with the caption: “POV: You spent 10 months in ICE detention & just got deported from the USA to Nigeria.”
In his message, he said he spent about 10 years overseas before his encounter with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, describing the experience as the most difficult period of his life.
According to him, being held in custody without freedom was “hell,” but he expressed gratitude that he eventually returned home alive and safe.
He also appreciated his wife for standing by him throughout the detention period, calling her a blessing, and thanked family members and supporters who sent prayers, encouragement, and financial help.
The man added that although his time in America has ended, he is now back in Nigeria with plans to reset and start over.
