A political poster bearing the image and campaign message of Senator Mudashiru Oyetunde Husain has surfaced on social media, sparking discussions about the 2026 Osun Governorship election.
The campaign poster was shared by Facebook user Akinwuyi Mesaq Tomilayo on Monday, with the caption, “Ejigbo lókan. Sen Mudashiru Usain for Governor,” suggesting that it is the turn of Ejigbo, a town in Osun State, to produce the next governor.
Part of the message on the campaign poster includes “A New Dawn – Osun 2026,” with the tagline “Leadership with Vision. The Future Begins Now.”
The poster features the emblem of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and highlights key campaign promises such as representing effectively, ensuring accessibility, promoting transparency, and upholding accountability.
According to the information on the poster, the senator reportedly shows his readiness to contest for the governorship seat in Osun State under the APC platform.
Though the senator has not officially declared his intention to run, the emergence of the poster has stirred speculation and debate within political circles and among Osun State residents.
Many are interpreting the move as a strategic soft launch aimed at testing public reception and building early momentum ahead of the 2026 elections.
All efforts to get the reaction of the senator on the viral campaign poster proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
Recall that some chieftains and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state have been clamouring for the 2026 governorship party ticket to be zoned to the western senatorial district of the state.
