The event, which also featured the presentation of the association’s five-year stewardship report, attracted a wide range of community members, leaders, and stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Association, Ademola Akintunde Adeniyi, emphasized that the gathering was to formally inaugurate the association and to render an account of its achievements over the years.

He highlighted key projects undertaken by the association, including the repair of electricity transmission lines, distribution of food during the COVID-19 pandemic, and sensitization campaigns ahead of the proposed national census.

Adeniyi reiterated the association’s mission to unite the people of Ejigbo in peace and progress, stressing that collective efforts are essential for sustainable development in the area.

Chief Atilade Adebowale, the Asiwaju of Ejigbo, noted that the association was formed to promote dialogue and development in Ejigbo by identifying pressing needs and presenting them to the state government.

He called on all indigenes of Ejigbo to support the association’s vision, saying unity and participation are necessary for the association to thrive and for Ejigbo to earn government support.

Chief Adebowale praised Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration as a listening government that aligns with the people’s needs and aspirations.

He revealed that the association has been funding various community development projects, particularly in tackling the electricity crisis, through member contributions.

He also appealed for government intervention in road infrastructure, noting that improved road networks would encourage more investment into Ejigbo.

He encouraged all Ejigbo indigenes to unite and work together, saying their unity would give them the strength and voice to advocate for the town’s progress.
