Ejigbo College Of Health Technology Inducts Community Health Graduates


The College of Health Technology, Ejigbo, Osun State, has inducted Community Health graduands during its second convocation ceremony and first Community Health induction.

Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday in Ejigbo, the Chief Executive Officer of the college, Alhaji Moshood Okikiola, urged the newly inducted graduates to uphold professionalism and ethics in their chosen profession.

He commended staff and regulatory bodies for their support, noting that their efforts contributed to the success of the graduands.

Okikiola also advised the new professionals to prioritise continuous development and respect for authority.

Also speaking, the Provost of the College of Health Technology, Ejigbo, Mr. Owolabi Akinrinade, urged the graduands to serve humanity with compassion, integrity and humility.

Akinrinade emphasised that education provides certificates, but character determines the future, noting that the graduands were entering a profession where their words and actions could calm fears and save lives.

He described the second convocation as evidence that the institution was growing and making impact, adding that the college was building professionals who would contribute meaningfully to society.

The provost also commended parents and guardians for their sacrifices and support towards the academic success of the graduands, noting that their efforts had contributed to the achievements being celebrated.

In his own remarks, a public health researcher, Dr. Waheed Bakare, emphasised the need for government to create an enabling environment for research and encourage young professionals through grant programmes.

Bakare stated that the lecture focused on how the graduands could strive for excellence and positively influence public health, while aligning with the vision of Universal Health Coverage aimed at making quality healthcare accessible to all.

Graduands of the College of Health Technology, Ejigbo, expressed gratitude to God and the institution’s management following their induction, describing the ceremony as the fulfilment of years of hard work and perseverance.

One of the graduands, Mathias Favour Amarachi, said the academic journey was filled with challenges, sacrifices and intense academic pressure, but appreciated God and her sponsors for their support.

Also speaking, Isa Bukola Fatima, a newly registered Community Health Practitioner, expressed appreciation to Allah for guiding her throughout her academic journey.

She acknowledged the support of the school management and staff of the College of Health Technology, Ejigbo, noting that their encouragement helped students remain focused during challenging periods.
