A Nigerian man has shared an unusual encounter with the police that has sparked conversation online.
According to his account, he was stopped by police officers for a routine stop-and-search. When asked for his driver’s licence, he explained that he didn’t have it on him and pleaded with the officers to let him go.
He claimed the officers refused to listen and allegedly collected ₦8,000 from him before allowing him to leave.
However, moments after the car drove off, the man realised one of the police officers had mistakenly left his phone inside the vehicle during the encounter.
