The Alare Iyiolu Family has issued a strong rebuttal against what they describe as a malicious campaign orchestrated by individuals hiding behind the Judicial Watch of Nigeria (JUWON) to tarnish the reputation of lawyer Muhydeen Adeoye Esq., known as Galadima, amid ongoing disputes over land along the Osogbo/Ikirun Road.
In a statement released on behalf of the community on Friday, the family urged the public to disregard “false gimmicks” aimed at grabbing people’s properties, labeling the allegations against Galadima as baseless and intended to pervert justice.
The statement reads, “Contrary to false narrative being pushed by some mischievous persons hiding under the smokescreen of Judicial Watch of Nigeria (JUWON) against the personality of Muhydeen Adeoye Esq. (Galadima) over attempt of some people to criminally grab people’s land along Osogbo/Ikirun Road, Osogbo, we state clearly here that, their story is false and a calculated attempt to pull wool over the eyes of the public and pervert the cause of justice.
“We hasten to add that the matter they are assassinatiing the character of Muyideen Adeoye over is sub judice. They refused to enter any defence to the suits some of which question how a judgment could be used to lay claim to any available land contrary to what is contained in the judgment.
“We categorically state that all the allegations are false, untrue, and misleading and an attempt to silence his sound legal forces deployed into the matter to protect thousands of the people whose properties were almost grabbed by the unscrupulous elements.
“These people attempted to levy execution in respect of land covering over 200 hectares within Osogbo on 30th April, 2025 claiming they got a court order to carry on the execution.
“This led the affected thousands of people to approach the court and on 3rd June, 2025, the Court, becoming convinced over application made by the very said Muhydeen Adeoye Esq, stayed further execution.
“These people ignored the Court injunction and went back until 5th August, 2025 when another Court Order by Hon. Justice S.O. Oke set aside the whole execution and restrained Mistura Busari and Lekan Alabi specifically in the Ruling from going on to the land any longer until the Judge in the main case would determine the main suit.
“Hon. Justice Oyebiyi who is the judge in the main case and who initially granted the purported order for execution due fraudulent misrepresentation of facts set aside the entire orders on 17th September, 2025 putting to an end the alleged right to go onto the land.
“Surprisingly, these people returned to the land sometime in January 2026 and were reportedly said to have invaded some places including one NIPCO Filling Station.
“That led the owner of the place to commence contempt proceedings and file a fresh suit against the people joining the police in the matter.
“The contempt proceedings being handled by the Law Firm of Mr. Adeoye Galadima has been assigned to a judge and a date given. That is what, we believe, push the people to rush to all social media looking for all ways to drag his reputation into mud.
“Mr. Adeoye Muhydeen Esq., Galadima is a reputable personality that fights against injustice. Thousands of the victims, including the Alare Iyiolu family in Osogbo, of this criminal acts are very much grateful for his dodgedness, uprightness and forthrightness.
“All the allegations are mere decoys to chase him away from defending the helpless and we believe the law will take its course in due time.
“The whole world already know the truth and will never be swayed onto wrong paths over the cheap blackmail being now politically motivated.
“The family itself is in possession of valid certified true copies of these court rulings against criminal taking over people’s land by these grabbers.
“Several lawsuits are still pending in which one criminal charge against the land grabbers are pending.”
