Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central engaged in a dispute with Senate President Godswill Akpabio on February 20 over seating arrangements.
Following the altercation, she was referred to the Senate’s disciplinary panel.
In response, Akpoti-Uduaghan filed a defamation lawsuit against Akpabio, seeking N100 billion in damages.
On Friday, Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Senate President Akpabio of defaming and penalising her after she rejected his sexual advances.
She had been scheduled to appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Public Petitions by 2 pm today.
Akpabio should leave Akpoti alone. She’s working greatly for us in Kogi State.
