It was a funfair on Wednesday April 30, 2025, as the Osun State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) received thousands of defectors from the Omisore Youth Support Forum (OYSF) into the party.

The event was held at the PDP secretariat in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, where the Party Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, welcomed the defectors.

While receiving them, Hon. Bisi renamed the group as the Adeleke Youth Support Forum (AYSF).

The defectors, while declaring their total support for Governor Adeleke’s 2026 re-election bid, vowed to go house-to-house across the nooks and crannies of the state to mobilize voters for victory.

The group stated that their exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC) was due to neglect, unjust treatment, and the sidelining of their members by the party.

Addressing newsmen, PDP Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi advised the group to continue working for the PDP and for the governor so that the party can defeat the opposition in 2026.

He also urged them to register in their wards and ensure they work with PDP members in various local government areas.

Hon. Bisi noted that there are no foreigners in the PDP, and once someone becomes a member, they have equal rights within the party.
