The National Examinations Council (NECO) has digitalized the recruitment process for its examination supervisors and assistant supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) internally and externally.
A statement signed by Ag. Director, Information and Digital Communication NECO, Azeez Sani made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, noted that the move to adopt digitalization in the recruitment exercise was to check sharp practices in the process and enhance efficiency and effective service delivery.
He said: “The digitalization process which involves migration from the manual recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors to an Online system, would ensure that supervisors’ Nomination forms, Appointment Letters and Supervisors’ e-photo Albums are generated online.
“Also, routine swapping of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors during the Examination would be done Online.
Interested qualified Teachers with NCE, Degree Certificates, Master’s Degrees, PhD and Professors are eligible to apply as Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for BECE or SSCE Internal or External.
“It could be recalled that before the digitalization system, recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors was done manually by the Council.”
