The Senator representing Kogi Central District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has appointed 100 constituency aides, to enhance representation and community engagement, AMILOADED reports
According to a statement issued by the Senator on Thursday, these dynamic individuals, comprising men and women from all 57 wards of Kogi Central,who will work to strengthen grassroots connections and ensure inclusive representation.
She stated that the appointed aides, selected from various professional and artisanal backgrounds, will receive a monthly salary for the duration of her tenure at the National Assembly, while the first payment is scheduled for June 30th, 2024.
According to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, the initiative is designed to ensure geographical coverage and diverse perspectives, to better serve the constituents of Kogi Central.
The statement reads; “Appointment of 100 Constituency Aides.
“As Senator representing the Kogi Central District, I thought it good to engage the services of 100 dynamic men and women across all 57 wards of Kogi Central for strengthening representation.
“These men and women, both old and young make up not only geographical coverage of our communities but also the various professional and artisanal groups.
“They shall be placed on a monthly salary for the entire tenure of my engagement as their senator at the National Assembly. First salary to be paid on the 30th of June 2024.”
