AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE
The Olowu of Kuta, Oba Oyelude Adekunle Makama, Tegbosun III (CON), has charged Nigeria youths to be knowledgeable, empathetic and articulate to be a global leader, AMILOADED reports.
The monarch said this at the National Association of Physical Sciences Students (NAPPHS) Leadership Summit, a program from the office of the President of the faculty, Yusuf Mojeed Omotola (Acetone) held at the University of Ilorin on Wednesday.
The Olowu of Kuta, who was represented by Dr. Ayantunji, the Bobaselu of Kuta, said the older generation should share with the youths those skills they used to be a global leader.
He said, “The older generation are the yesterday, the young ones are the today and the younger ones are the tomorrow.
“The today generation are inviting tomorrow on how to send away the yesterdays and that’s why the yesterdays should share with the tomorrows those knowledge of yesterday and that of today so that they can be global leader.”
The traditional ruler further explained that man “is at the centre of all development be it social, political or economic”, adding that youths can take either a follower or a leader position in that development.
He noted urged them to be good at whatever position they take.
The event had in attendance Prof. Omotosho, DVC Academics, Prof. Oyewumi, Dean Faculty of Physical Sciences, Students’ Union President, FAJI Oluwatobiloba Samuel, Students’ Union Vice President, Oseni Islamiat ArinOla, Dr. Victor Adegbile, Dr. Apaokagi, Dr. Salawu Abdulazeez, Mr. Nasir Abdulquadri, and Mr. Damilola Olaniyi, among others.
