Speaking with newsmen, the awardee, Engr. (Dr.) Ogundeji Peter, thanked Bradley University for finding him worthy of the honorary doctorate, noting that it is a call to action to serve humanity even more.
According to him, “This is a privilege, and I acknowledge that there are many eminently qualified people out there who could have received this award. However, Bradley University, has seen fit to honor us, and for that, we are truly grateful. We thank the Almighty for making this program a success.
“Receiving this doctorate for humanitarian services will enable us to do more and have a greater impact on our society. We’ve been doing various things in our community, but we never realized the extent to which our efforts were being recognized. It’s surprising that this is the first time I’ll be meeting the chairman of this program. We received a call informing us that they wanted to appreciate our humanitarian work, and we’re thankful for their recognition.”
“We’re challenged to do more, and we will definitely rise to that challenge. We didn’t realize that our efforts were being watched, but now that we know, we’re motivated to do even more than we initially thought possible. With God’s guidance, we’ll continue to make a positive impact.”
Also speaking, the African Coordinator of Bradley University, Professor Jegede JP, said the university was founded in 1936 and is accredited in Illinois, United States of America.
