Actress Nkechi Blessing has raised alarm over what she described as overwhelming harassment after thousands of men reportedly stormed her WhatsApp to ask for a relationship or marriage.
In a frustrated outburst, the actress revealed that her WhatsApp alone has received over 5,000 messages from men who got her number through Facebook.
According to her, she wakes up daily to messages asking if she is single, proposing marriage, and introducing themselves with age, state of origin, and intentions.
She explained that she has tried everything possible to protect her privacy, including attempting to change her number on Facebook, but without success.
Nkechi Blessing said the number being contacted is one she cannot change, leaving her overwhelmed and exhausted.
The actress stressed that while she is single, she is not actively searching for a man and does not define herself by relationships. She also made it clear that insults or abuse will not pressure her into anything.
“Over 5,000 men cannot marry me at the same time,” she said, adding that the constant messages have turned her WhatsApp into a mess and affected her peace of mind.
Nkechi Blessing appealed to anyone who knows how to help remove or protect her number on Facebook to assist, saying the situation has become too much for her to handle.
