The family of the late Baale of Oke-Iba Ikirun in Osun State, Alhaji Chief Abduraheem Bakare Adeyemo OYEYEMI 2nd, has organised a free medical outreach to commemorate his second year remembrance, AMILOADED reports.

The free medical outreach held at the Saviours African Church Hall, Ikirun, on Saturday, targeted the vulnerable members of the community, particularly the widows and widowers as well as the aged who cannot afford the cost of medical attention.

Some of the services rendered included routine health screening (Blood pressure, Random Blood sugar and eye screening).

Speaking at the event, Mr Ademola Adeyemo, who is the first son of the late patriarch, said the children of the late community leader decided to do something to assist the community due to the situation of the country.

“The purpose of this medical outreach is to remember the legacy the community leader left behind due to his passion for Oke-iba community,” he said.

The leader of Odo-fun Alhaji Oladimeji Imolokunola, said: “A Good father gives birth to a Good child. This medical outreach is to remember the late community leader.”

He said the people of Ikirun will never forget the humanity service rendered by Adeyemo.
One of the sons of Adeyemo said the outreach was for the less privilege in the community due to the economic situation of the country.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Oyeleye Olubunmi, said she heard of the outreach from the radio, saying the organiser is not politicians but a good philanthropist.

“I benefited from the medical test and also got stipend,” she said.
Mrs lawal falilat lawal who is also a beneficiary thanked the family for organising the outreach and also prayed for the family.

At the end of the medical outreach, over 250 Beneficiaries got tested by the Obafemi Awolowo University medical doctors.

The participants also got drugs and were also given stipends.
