AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE
A staunch supporter of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, Hon Abdulsalami Olaitan, popularly known as Atiku Osun, and the leaders of Osun State Transport Management have held a ‘victory walk’ for the former Vice President in Osogbo, the state capital, AMILOADED reports.
The walk, which took off at the Okefia roundabout in Osogbo, headed towards Isale Osun through Olaiya, station Road, Oja Oba, and eventually terminated at the Old-garage where the organisers addressed the mammoth crowd on Wednesday.
The organisers stopped at motor parks, popular markets, and the streets of Osogbo to drum support for Atiku during the walk which was led by Olaitan and Park Managers in the state.
Olaitan, while addressing the crowd, used the occasion to highlight the agenda of the PDP presidential candidate to include security of lives and properties, unity of the country, education, restructuring, recovery of the country’s economy.
He said Osogbo, being the state capital where the wife of the PDP presidential candidate, Titi Atiku, hails from, is very important to the victory of the former Vice President on Saturday.
Olaitan described Atiku as the unifier who would put a stop to nepotism, tribalism, and religious discrimination if elected as president.
He berated the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government for “making life unbearable for Nigerians”.
Olaitan, who made reference to the naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the current petrol scarcity in the country, however, assured the market women and small-scale business owners, who have been badly hit by the policy, of “a new dawn after the victory of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar”, on Saturday.
He also urged the people of Osun State to vote for Atiku and other PDP candidates in Saturday’s elections.
