
The Executive Director, Engineering Services at the Ogun–Oshun River Basin Development Authority, Engr Kayode Sowade, has been appointed as the Director of ‘City Boy Movement’ in Osun State.
The Modakeke-born All Progressives Congress chieftain made his appointment known on Sunday.
Sowade, in his new role is expected to drive grassroots mobilisation, strengthen party structures, and further the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilise youths for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu.
The APC chieftain appreciated the Director-General of the movement, Mr Francis Shoga and the National Coordinator of the Movement, Mr Favour Abayomi for the trust reposed in him, promising to use the platform to advance initiatives that empower young people in Osun.
“I want to appreciate the leadership of City Boy Movement for this big recognition. I am highly honoured by this appointment. Osun State remains firmly positioned for inclusive development and sustained political engagement,” Sowade said.
Meanwhile, members of the APC in Osun State have expressed confidence in Sowade’s ability to drive the movement in the state.
The APC members said Osun State City Boy Movement under him will experience renewed energy, strategic growth, and greater impact within communities.
