A housewife, Jibike Sanusi, has approached a Kubwa Upper Area Court in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), seeking dissolution of her three-year-old marriage to her husband, Alabi Oludare, on grounds of lack of love and affection.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Jibike told the court that she got married to her husband in April 2021, in accordance with Islamic laws, and that the union was blessed with one daughter.
She said that the respondent neither took care of her and her daughter nor had any respect for her as his wife.
“My husband does not want me to have more children. I don’t love him anymore and don’t want to remain his wife again,” she said.

She, therefore, prayed the court to dissolve the marriage on the aforementioned grounds.
The respondent, whom the court bailiff alleged to have evaded service, was not in court.
The judge, Mohammed Wakili, however, ordered substituted service on the respondent and adjourned the case.
