A simple billboard bearing the single inscription “Jesus” has appeared in several strategic locations across Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
The billboards were spotted opposite the Osun INEC headquarters, at Dele Yes Sir, Ilesha Garage, and Old Garage.
During a visit by Amiloaded reporter to the site at Old Garage, where one of the billboards is mounted, market men and women in the area declined to comment on the matter or provide any details about who erected it or its purpose.
Sharing his view on his official social media handle, Osun-based journalist Francis Ezediuno noted that the billboard is “pregnant with meaning” beyond publicising Jesus.
The appearance of the billboard has left many residents in suspense, with speculation circulating about its significance and origin.
