The Osun State Local Government Service Commission has carried out a fresh redeployment of senior council administrators across local governments in the state.
In a letter dated January 26, 2026, and signed by the Commission’s Permanent Secretary, Mudashir Oyedeji, five Heads of Local Government Administration, HLAs, were directed to resume duties at new postings with immediate effect.
The redeployment affected officials previously serving in various Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs, with all of them reassigned to either full-fledged local government councils or different administrative units.
Among the notable postings was the transfer of Yakubu Adekunle Oni from Irewole North East LCDA to Boripe Local Government Area, a council linked politically to former governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Other officers listed in the letter include Bolaji Wasiu Ayoola, Emmanuel Oluwole Ademokoya, Adebisi Lateef Kayode and Isaac Tope Akinwumi, all of whom were moved from their former duty posts to new locations across the state.
According to the deployment schedule, Ayoola was posted from Ife South West LCDA to Ola-Oluwa Local Government, while Ademokoya moved from Oriade South LCDA to Atakumosa East Local Government.
Kayode was redeployed from Ede East LCDA to Oriade Local Government, while Akinwumi was transferred from Egbedore South LCDA to Ife East Central LCDA.
The Commission did not give reasons for the reshuffle, nor did it indicate the fate of officers previously overseeing the councils to which the new HLAs have been posted.
“I wish to inform you that the Local Government Service Commission has approved the deployment of the under listed Heads of Local Government,” the letter stated.
The letter stated that the affected officers were to assume their new roles without delay.
