The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has continued his routine visits to elderly men and women within the community, offering support and identifying with their welfare.
According to information shared on the monarch’s official page on Tuesday, the visits are often carried out without prior notice, allowing the king to personally assess the condition of aged residents who are unable to move freely.
During one of such visits, the monarch met with an elderly woman in her home, an encounter described as a touching moment during his outreach to senior citizens.
It was gathered that the Oluwo distributed money and foodstuffs to the elderly beneficiaries as part of efforts to support their daily needs.
The palace noted that the outreach forms part of the monarch’s regular engagement with aged men and women across the community.
