The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has commissioned classrooms and a road project.
At the commissioning of a school building in Ido-Osun, Egbedore Local Government Area, on Monday, Bamidele reaffirmed his commitment to promoting and ensuring sustainable education for his constituents.
The lawmaker emphasized the importance of providing quality education and an enabling environment for students.
Bamidele noted that since assuming office six years ago, one of his priorities has been the promotion of education. He explained that his efforts focus on improving school conditions, expanding access to education, and providing instructional materials, standardized classrooms, teacher training, and student support.
The Osun lawmaker stressed that education remains a vital tool for liberating people from poverty. He said that by providing quality education, students are given the key to overcoming poverty, ignorance, and disease.
Bamidele added that the classroom projects form part of many interventions carried out over the last six years and are in line with broader plans to ensure young people across his constituency have access to conducive learning environments, instructional materials, and support systems to aid their studies and research.
Representing the Governor, Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi commended the lawmaker for the laudable projects.
He also urged beneficiaries to maintain the facilities to encourage more projects in their constituencies.
The projects commissioned include a block of eight classrooms at CAC Grammar School, Ede; facilities at Baptist High School, Ede; L.A. Grammar School, Ika; St. Paul’s Primary School, Ido-Osun; and the commissioning of a road at Elerin Sabo.
