Corper Who Insulted President Deserves Capital Punishment – Tinubu’s Aide Blows Hot

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity, Temitope Ajayi, has said a Lagos-based National Youth Service Corps member, Ushie Uguamaye, who criticised President Bola Tinubu’s government over inflation and economic hardship deserves capital punishment.

Recall that in a video shared on her TikTok account #talktoraye on Saturday, Uguamaye criticised Tinubu, calling him a “terrible leader,” and questioned the government’s efforts to alleviate citizens’ suffering.

While reacting to a post on Facebook, the political actor kicked against warning the corper, insisting that she should be made to face the full wrath of the law.

“The issue is not about exercise of free speech or what she said. If she is not a corper she can say whatever she fancies like people do per seconds. Citizens can abuse a living day out of their President or any public official. It is normal. But a corper violated her oath and code of conduct here. That is capital punishment under NYSC.

“You can’t abuse the country you are serving as a corper under any guise and the symbol of sovereign authority which is the President. She should be punished to the fullest extent not just warning. She chose to be silly, then she should face the consequences. It is wrong to endorse bad behaviour in any shape or form. We will never have a great country we all claim we desire when we gloss over blant and egregious infractions like that of this corper,” the presidential assistant wrote.
