The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State has stated that the late Alhaji Abdullateef Abdussalam will be remembered as a man of integrity, wisdom, and dedication to the betterment of society.
This was made known on Sunday during the 8th day Fidau prayer held at the Party Secretariat in Osogbo, the capital of Osun.
While reiterating that Alhaji Abdullateef’s passing on March 1, 2025, marks the end of an era, the Party noted that his influence and contributions will continue to inspire future generations.
The party hinted at their readiness to take over the government in Osun come 2026, reiterating that preparations are in top gear.
They noted that the late Alhaji Abdullateef was an active and influential figure in politics and community service who served as Osun NNPP Caretaker Chairman and in various capacities until his death.
Speaking at the event, the State party chairman of NNPP, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, said the late Alhaji Abdullateef Abdussalam was a perfect gentleman who was always ready to provide support to all and sundry irrespective of affiliation.
Dr. Odeyemi, who said Alhaji Abdullateef will be missed as nobody could fill his vacuum, said the program was organized in honor of his legacy and contributions.
In his preaching, Imam Lukman Akolapo AbdulAzeez, who prayed that God will grant the deceased Aljana Fridaous, emphasized the importance of good education for children as portrayed by Alhaji Abdullateef before his death.
Imam AbdulAzeez urged people not to forget who helped them while they were in need, who did not, and who put them in trouble, as this will form a major part of their life stories.
Present at the event were the NNPP Chairman from Ondo, Kwara, Oyo, the Deputy National Women Leader, the family of the late Alhaji Abdullateef, party executives, members, among others.
