Adeboye Defends Rolls Royce Gift To Oyedepo

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has defended the gifts presented to Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church during his 70th birthday.

Oyedepo received a Rolls Royce and N1 billion during the celebration at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, sparking criticism from some Nigerians.

In response, Pastor Adeboye stated that clergymen and Christians would be blamed if they died poor, emphasising that it is better to die rich than in poverty.

This was contained in a viral video on Saturday, October 5.

He said: “Someone gave a bishop a car and some people got very upset that how can a bishop be driving a Rolls Royce? As if once you are a bishop you must die of hunger.

“Let me tell you my beloved children, if you die poor they will blame you; they will say after all these days of you serving God this is how you end? If you can’t pay your rent, they will say where is your God?

“If all of a sudden you start riding a Rolls Royce they will attack you, so which of the two do you choose? They are going to attack you anyway, whether you die of poverty or you live in abundance.”

  1. Anyone attacking The Bishop, David Oyedepo for receiving a gift of Rolls Royce or Cash or attacking those who gave the gifts are simply haters of both good people and good things… If a man who has been diligently pursuing his assignment and who’s assignment and large heart have impacted millions of lifes globally is not qualified to receive such and even greater gifts, then who else qualifies to receive such? My advice to these critics is that they should get Ready to Hang themselves bcos they haven’t seen anything yet.

  2. All in the name of the Man of Sorrows who left His disciples no house or a horse but priceless peace. Let these ride on in Rolls Royce in the name of The Master who rode on a borrowed donkey. Let’s these stuff their banks with billions of mammon while presiding over congregants who could hardly afford a meal whose children cannot attend the very schools they struggled to deop their widow’s mite. Ride on thou GOs and Bishops. The Great Day fast approaches.
