A former governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State,Omooba Dotun Babayemi,has called on Nigerians not to relent in working for the greatness of the country.
He averred that this has become imperative in view of the fact that the nation was a project founded to excel, imploring the people to ensure the attainment of lofty dreams of the founding fathers.
Babayemi who made the call in his Christmas message to Christians as released by his Media office and made available to journalists, maintained that the people must strive to ensure that the nation progresses.
He noted that as the people continue to pray, they must as well work dedicatedly so as to make the nation progress.
“As a people bounded together, let us continue to pray for the greatness of Osun, our beloved state; and Nigeria, our dear country as a whole. Nigeria is a project that must work and never fail” the party stalwart charged.
“No nation exists without challenges. We should not allow ours to consume us; our resilience is the envy of our neighbors and this we shall continue to hold tenaciously” He further explained.
On the Christmas celebration, Babayemi said there were lessons to learn from it; stressing,”It’s again that time of the year when we join the rest of the Christendom to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
The solemness and the humbleness that surround the birth of Christ serve as enduring lessons for us all”
Meanwhile, the erstwhile governorship aspirant has implored the people, especially the Christians, to be moderate and cautious during the yuletide, praying that God would continue to protect Nigerians wherever they might be.
