The Abuja-based Juju musician Omoba De Jombo Beats and his crew members, who were reportedly kidnapped while returning from an event on Sunday, Dember 17, 2023 have regained freedom.
Recall that the report of the kidnapped was made known to the public by a fellow musician, Adeyinka Adeboye, also known as Boye Best, revealed in a post shared on his Instagram account.
The post read, “A whole band of members kidnapped. Nigeria is messed up. I swear my prayers are with you guys. You will all come out alive.”
He said they were kidnapped by unknown gunmen after performing live at a show in Abuja over the weekend.
According to Boye Best, the kidnappers are demanding N10 million ransom to release them.
However, in a video that emerged on Thursday, December 21, 2023, the musician and his band were seen alighting from a bus looking haggard and exhausted.
It is unknown as of press time if the victims paid the said N10m ransom before their release.
