Balogun Jorjor‘s 2nd Football Competition Kick Offs In Osun

The second edition of the football competition organised by Mr Habib Muyiwa Abdulhammed, popularly known as Balogun Jorjor, has kicked off in Osun State, AMILOADED reports.

The football competition which kicked off at the Oluwo stadium on Sunday had a game between Apomu FC and Ultimate FC, Iwo.

Apomu FC defeated Ultimate FC with three goals to nil.

Speaking at the event, the convener said, “The journey started when I was the FISU president, my sports director came up with the idea of football competition to help the community grow fast.


“We also sponsor our youth academically and also pay medical Bills of people who cannot afford the payment.”


The chairman of Iwo football local council, Alhaji Adeesho, said, “I am also happy the spectators can see the positive changes that occurred in Oluwo stadium.


“I pray for continuous growth for Jorjor, I urge people from home and abroad to come and see how Oba Abdulrasheed Olawale Akanbi is doing a great job for the growth of Iwo community”
On her part, the wife of the convener, Mrs Habib Nofisat Adedoyin, said, “The programme is very good and educating because it brings unity amongst the youths.”


Mr Idris Adekunle who is also a coach and member of the organising committee described the game as interesting, saying, “It is quite interesting because it was an unpredictable match.”


Speaking at the event, Comrade Abiola Adewale from Iwo community applauded the organiser of the programme because “Jorjor has been promoting sport in Iwo land”.


“I also wish the losing team better luck next time,” he added.
