AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

A group, the Solidarity Movement, has accused Adesoye Oyetunde-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ayedire of attacking its members, AMILOADED reports.
The Movement in a statement on Thursday alleged that its members were attacked during the stakeholder’s meeting at the PDP secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State, after Oyetunde -led faction felt threatened following a failed attempt to impose a candidate of their choice in the party.
It stated that Prince Sikiru Oyelakin, before the meeting, mobilised some party members loyal to him in conjunction with some hoodlums to the party secretariat.
The Movement added, “In their team was Alh Fatai Akande from Kuta, Oyejide Oluwajoba, Taleat Muideen and some other factional members.
“After their movement was noticed and confirmed by the Solidarity Movement, we swung into action by mobilising to the venue to ensure the safety of our party chairman and other stakeholders who are eligible attendees of the meeting, to their disadvantage, they felt so frustrated and disappointed to see us (Solidarity Movement).
“Prince Sikiru Oyelakin in his undemocratic manner called the police on us, labeled us as hoodlums and thugs.
“Hon Sunday Bisi in his wisdom approached us and we revealed our various identities to him.
“It was a rude shock to them when they saw the honorable party chairman (Hon Sunday Bisi) warmly greeted us and apologized for any misconceptions.
“It is on this note that we inform the general public to please be aware that Hon Adesoye Oyetunde, Prince Sikiru Oyelakin, Alhaji Fatai Akande, and their followers should be held responsible if anything happens to any of our members.
“Furthermore, their threats were received and they plead with the general public to wade in on our behalf.
“None of our members from Ileogbo, Kuta, Oluponna and Oke Osun should be intimidated nor arrested, using the police or their hoodlums.”
