AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

A group, the Coalition of the Youth Voice Movement, has urged candidates elected into various positions in the 2023 general election in Osun State to fulfil all the promises made to the people of the state, AMILOADED reports.

The group said this in a statement jointly signed by its President, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel, on Saturday.

The CYVM stated that the people’s welfare should be the elected candidates’ focus, urging them to build on the weaknesses of the past government and make it their centre of strength.

The statement read, “To the glory of God all election has come and gone and we thank the Almighty God for the success and victory he gave to all elected, be it house of assembly members, the senators and the house of representatives member in Osun State.

“Remember your emergence was by grace and privilege and not a form of entitlement.

The people of Osun have spoken with their votes by bringing you all in to serve and put in your very best, now take it as a responsibility to make sure all you promised are fulfilled so the masses that voted for you won’t regret voting for you.

“The welfarism of the people and Osun state as a whole should be your focus, build on the weaknesses of the past government and make it your center of strength to let those that voted you know you’re not just full of empty promises like those past government that are fond of propagandas, lies, deceit and enforcing themselves on the people of Osun State.

“You’re voted to serve and live by good examples so that your reputation and legacy you will leave and lay can be outstanding and be a point of reference even when no more in office, forget not that your tenure lapses in 4 years. In a twinkle of an eye, the 4 years would be over but the indelible print u leave would be spoken of and live on.

“Furthermore, always have it in mind that your duty and service is not just for your party alone but for the entire state.

“Forget not that when rain falls, it falls on both good and wicked people, this is to tell and remind you that you’re for Osun as a whole and not a particular set of people because both good and bad deeds will be history. Whatsoever it is you do while in service would be on record which will later affect your lineage either positively or negatively based on the legacy you’ve laid.

Finally, know that the Coalition of the youth voice movement/EndSARS really love to see youth representing them and you can’t afford to disappoint them. They will not also keep mute if you’re not putting in your very best.

“Have a listening ear to the people that elected you and never see them as unimportant after they’ve played their part voting you in. Bear in mind that your sincerity, openness, honesty, commitment and your positive impact will speak for you if you try to run for another greater post in the future.

“Your notable achievement would also set a pace for your children in ways you could never imagine. Also have it at the back of your mind that for people to have voted and elected you was because you’re trusted and you can’t afford to disappoint and make the masses blame themselves for voting you in.

“Sit, think deeply and reminisce on what has brought you this far and have the mindset of I can’t disappoint myself, I can’t disappoint those that entrusted me with this post I am occupying, I can’t disappoint my family, I can’t disappoint my party and I can’t disappoint God who actually spared my life to run for this post and finally emerge among all contestants running for this particular post I’m privileged to occupy now.”
