2023 Elections: Adeleke Endorses Bamidele Salam, Urges Votes For Atiku, Other PDP Candidates

In preparations for the 2023 general election, the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has held a mega rally for their candidates in order for the residents of the state to vote for their candidates, AMILOADED reports.

The rally which was led by Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the House of Representatives member representing Ede federal constituency, Bamidele Salam, other PDP leaders was held in the Ede area of the state on Thursday.

Addressing the PDP supporters, Adeleke urged the residents to vote for the party’s presidential candidate and other candidates of the party in the elections.

“I present to you best servant, Rep Bamidele Salam. You all know what our honorable is doing as a member of the House of Representatives, if the work must continue, you must all vote for him.”

“In other to validate that truly you voted for me in the last governorship election in Osun, you must all come out en mass on Saturday to vote for all PDP candidates – Atiku Abubakar for President, Akogun Lere Oyewumi for Osun West Senatorial, Hon. Bamidele Salam for Ede federal constituency and other PDP candidates in the three senatorial districts and federal constituencies.

“Presently, the hardship being witnessed today through the monetary policy of APC-led federal government is enough to sack the administration of APC at the federal level just as you did during Osun governorship election,” the governor said.

Speaking, Salam said they were optimistic about the wins of their party and urged residents of Osun State to vote and not engage in violence

On his part, the chairman of media and Publicity of the federal constituency campaign, Akintunde Bello Sheriff, disclosed a recap of the governor’s 100 days in office.

Others at the rally were the senatorial candidate for Osun West, Akogun Lere Oyewumi; Director General, Atiku/Okowa campaign organisation, Hon. Sunday Bisi; Ede south state constituency lawmaker, Hon Olaniran Akanfe Atidade; Ede North state constituency lawmaker, Hon Adewunmi Kofoworola Babajide, among others.

The presidential and National Assembly elections will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
