Gov Adeleke Flags Off Imole Free Medical Treatments In Osun

The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has flagged off the Imole free medical and surgical treatments across all the Federal Constituencies in Osun State, AMILOAED reports.

The outreach was flagged off by the governor at the State Hospital in Ila, covering the Boluwaduro, Ifedayo, Ila Federal Constituency, on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, the the chairman of the Imole free medical and surgical outreach, Prof. Peter Babatunde, thanked Governor Adeleke for the outreach, saying it was what people of Osun State have been waiting for.

Babatunde said, “This initiative that the Governor has started is a good programme, people who have been waiting for opportunities to get treated medically but have been financially incapacitated or due to another reason, will now be given opportunities to get treated.

“We have been receiving people since this initiative started this morning, and they are been treated,surgeries are going on, drugs are been given, eye glasses are being given and medical treatments are also going on across the wards in the hospital.”

On his part, the Head of the medical outreach, Doctor Adefila, hailed Adeleke for the good initiatives for the people of the state, adding that it was beneficial to those that have been cut off from the health care system.

“We appreciate the Governor for this work, this would be beneficial to those that have been cut off from the health care system, or can’t afford treatment or be treated because of finances, with this outreach they have opportunities to get treated”.

“We have the medical, surgical and opthalmology treatment for all persons who come in here during this outreach, we have top notch medical personnel who are well grounded in their specialities and total medical attention will be given to all persons,” she said.

One of the beneficiaries appreciated the governor for the outreach, saying she was treated and given drugs and glasses.

Over 2000 persons who have health issues came in from three Local Government Areas of Osun State on Wednesday.
