UPDATE: Twin Detained By Hospital Over N383,500 Bill Reunites With Mother

AMILOADED MEDIA HUB NEWS UPDATE

A group, Hope Oborevwori, has paid the hospital bill of a newborn detained over N383,500.

Recall that a woman, Mrs Akpesiri Ojiko, was delivered of twins on November 17, 2022, at the General Hospital, Warri, Delta State, but one of the babies was referred to a private facility, Unique Health Medical Centre, for attention, over lack of bed space.

The medical centre, however, detained the baby after her parents could not raise the bill.

The group, Hope Oborevwori, on Tuesday, paid the bill as the child was handed over to her mother.

Ojiko, who could not hold her joy, thanked the Punch for intervening in the matter.

“I’m happy for the reunion with my baby. In fact, may God bless the foundation, The publication and Maga FM and an activist, Victor Ojei, for making me get my baby again,” she said.

Hope Oborevwori is a support group of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Delta State Governorship candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori.
